YOUNG artists from Green Infant School in South Normanton have showed off their prize-winning Children in Need-themed paintings.

Pupils from the New Street school’s three age groups paid 50p to enter the competition, and drew pictures of Pudsey Bear – the charity cause’s mascot.

The competition raised more than £45 – to boost a fundraising total which topped £26 million during the annual telethon extravaganza.

It is hoped total fundraising could top £40 million when it is all in nationally.
