A GROUP of old school pals reunited for a daring 13,000ft skydive in honour of a friend who lost his life to leukaemia.
The 17 members of HG 91 all left Heanor Gate school in 1991, but reformed for a fundraising campaign last year following the death of Phil Burrows. The group has so far raised nearly £16,000 for Leukaemia Research with bag packs at Tesco, a sponsored walk, football matches and fashion shows. Organiser Claire Emma Harris said: “It’s an intense feeling. When you’re up there you feel really safe. That’s a problem - people don’t realise they’re falling at 120mph!”
