Reading challenge for kids

There are still two weeks left for young readers taking part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge to finish the six-book challenge. When they do, they can collect their certificates and medals.

There is a wristband and specially-designed Mungler Trump cards to collect along the way. And even if young readers haven’t started the challenge yet, there’s still time to take part.

Organisers at Derbyshire County Council are hoping even more young people than ever will complete the challenge to read six library books in the summer holidays. And they are urging youngsters to make sure they finish in time.

Exciting reading challenge events are still taking place for families in Derbyshire County Council libraries, include

stories and crafts for 7-11s at Ripley, Tuesday, August 21.
