STUDENTS and staff at St John Houghton Catholic Academy are calling on the Prime Minister to help turn the tide on water poverty.
Ahead of the G8 summit in May, the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development (CAFOD) visited the school to tell pupils about the world’s poorest people.
Year seven pupil David, said after the visit: “David Cameron, listen to the people. It is wrong that children do not have clean water to drink and wash their hands with. Do more.”
The students also raised £800 to support CAFOD’s work through a non-uniform day.
