A BELPER travel agent’s raised cash for charity when it celebrated the 20th anniversary of our Disneyland Paris.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse met their adoring public outside the Co-operative Travel shop on King Street, last Saturday, from 10am to 3pm.
Senior sales consultant Lesley Tomlinson said: “A local lady called Vicky O’Donnell approached us with a request to raise money for the breast cancer unit at Royal Derby Hospital. We put the two together and raised over £300 with a tombola. It was the day of the farmer’s market so we were very busy.”
Staff dressed as Disney characters and gave out balloons and lollies to children and there were colouring competitions for children and a cake sale.
