Plans for two 32 metre high wind turbines at land off Heanor Road in Denby Village are set to be decided next week.
The proposals lodged by clean energy firm Quiet Revolution is for what it deems two ‘small scale’ turbines, which would supply the national grid with up to 32 kilowatts of energy for 25 years.
Planning board councillors are to give their verdict on the scheme on Monday, July 15. Members of the public can attend the meeting, which is to start at 7pm.
Amber Valley Borough Councillor for the Kilburn, Denby and Holbrook ward Cllr Jean Gemmell said: “In general terms I things that provide clean, sustainable energy are things that should be encouraged.
“The issue is whether it is detracting to people nearby in terms of their amenities.”
