PARENTS were invited into Ripley Junior School on Friday to sample a plethora of homemade cakes.
Pupils put on an array of baked delights as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event and raised £444 for the cancer charity.
Year six children, dressed from head-to-toe in green, helped pour parents a cuppa and run a raffle to raise funds.
Class teacher Sarah Woodward helped to organise the event and run a special green-themed ‘guess the character’ competition. She said: “It went very well indeed, there was a huge selection of cakes that looked lovely.”
