Warning after graveyard flower theft

A MAREHAY man who left a floral tribute at his mother’s grave in Ripley cemetery is urging people to be on their guard after the flowers were stolen.

Brian Murfin left a dozen pink and white roses on a memorial stone in the garden of remembrance at around 11.30am on Thursday, April 26, and they were taken sometime during the next three hours. Mr Murfin, 64, said: “It’s the lowest of the low. I want to make people aware that there are undesirables who go around stealing memorial flowers.”
