Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Heanor.

At 10.20pm on Thursday (March 24), a man was walking to his car on Mundy Street when he noticed that the driver's side door was open. A man then approached him and demanded that he handed over money.

He handed over money and bank cards and the man walked away.

The man was described as white, in his mid-20s, 5ft 6ins tall and of a medium build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing, a hooded top, a scarf which covered his face, a glove on his right hand and a stick in his left hand.
