LANGLEY MILL: Golf club assault

Police in Langley Mill are appealing for information after a woman was hit with a golf club during a burglary at her home.

At around 8.10pm on Monday, August 26, two men went into a house on Dean Street through an unlocked door and demanded money from the occupant.

They searched the house and took golf clubs, a mobile phone and a set of keys.

They then assaulted a 30-year-old woman at the house with one of the golf clubs before leaving in a white car, thought to be a Volvo.

The victim did not suffer serious injuries.

Both of the offenders were mixed race, one was around 5ft 5ins tall, wearing a tracksuit and blue t-shirt and the other was around 5ft 4ins tall and also wearing a tracksuit.
