Fleeing driver left deflated by Derbyshire Police stingers after alleged assault
The male driver of this car – said to have assaulted a council worker - was left deflated by a police “pre-emptive sting” which punctured his tyres.
The fleeing motorist was brought to a halt when all four tyres were ruptured by the spikes near Langley Mill, having been spotted in Ripley and followed.
Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit spotted the driver in Ripley and pursued him before placing the stingers.
The male – who was also uninsured – was arrested under suspicion of assault.
