A transit van full of medication has been stolen from outside a pharmacy in Jacksdale amid police warnings that the drugs could be dangerous.

The white Ford van was stolen from outside Acorn Pharmacy, in Main Road, at around 9am on Friday July 6.

Police have warned that the various prescription drugs inside the van, which has ‘Lexon’ emblazoned on the side, could be potentially life-threatening if taken incorrectly.

PC Lee Barker of Nottinghamshire police said: “The person who stole the van may decide to use the drugs recreationally, or to sell them on to others.

“They are usually administered by a trained medical professional and could be extremely harmful if not used correctly.

“I urge anyone with information to come forward so that we can ensure no one is taken ill.”

Police are carrying out extensive enquiries to locate the van, including reviewing CCTV footage recorded in the area. Officers believe the offender may have driven to Derbyshire following the theft.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about this incident, should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
