A driving instructor’s learner car has fallen foul of a paint stripper attack- just weeks after another one of his vehicles was torched.
Two black Ford Fiesta’s belonging to Leabrooks driving school owner Richard Lord have been targeted by vandals in June.
The first incident happened at 11.20pm on Friday June 7, when the first of Mr Lord’s cars parked on Cemetery Road was set on fire.
A witness reported seeing a man wearing black clothing run towards Main Road.
He had his hood up and was wearing something across his face.
Then at 8am on Tuesday, June 25, the instructor’s second car, also a Ford Fiesta, was found damaged by ‘paint stripper or a similar liquid’, police say.
It had also been parked overnight on Cemetery Road.
Anyone who has any information that would help the police investigation into these crimes should ring 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
