Two homes were broken into in Heanor over the weekend.

Thieves broke into a house on Marshall Street between Friday 7th and Monday 9th March.

A side window was smashed with a brick in order to gain access to the property, whilst inside they stole an iPad and jewellery.

The second burglary saw thieves force open a rear ground floor window at a house on Peatburn Avenue between Saturday at noon and Sunday at 10am, it is unknown at this point if anything was taken.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the stolen items or either incident should call the police on 101.
