A drug dealer has been caught with a cannabis growing set-up after a raid at an address in Ironville.

Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Friday, October 9, how John Ross Litchfield, 33, admitted producing cannabis and possessing the class B drug with intent to supply. He also pleaded guilty to possessing methadone after the raid in May.

Prosecuting solicitor Neil Hodless said: “Police found a cannabis growing set-up at Victoria Street and found two bags of cannabis relating to the supply charge. They also found a previous crop and a phone with offerings for sale.”

Magistrates committed the case to Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on October 30. Litchfield, of London Road, Alvaston, Derby, was released on unconditional bail.
