Police who are investigating a theft of tyres from GK Ford in Somercotes are trying to establish if the edging stones that were left under the wheels are stolen.
Thieves broke a window of a minibus on the forecourt of the Nottingham Road dealership and stole a jack, they then used it to lift a van and steal the tyres.
The incident happened sometime between 6.30pm on Tuesday, December 20, and 8am on Wednesday, December 21.
PC Mark Stokoe from Somercotes and Swanwick Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The bricks that were used were quite distinctive, perhaps used for edging a garden. “We would like to ask residents if they have recently had any bricks stolen to get in touch with us.”
If you have any information about the theft, please contact PC Stokoe at Derbyshire police on the non-emergency number 101.
