Amber Valley’s new top cop aims to work with residents

A new Inspector has taken over the lead on policing in the Amber Valley area.

Insp Graham Lamin has taken over the reins from outgoing Richard Smith

The former Belper beat officer returns to the area with 25 years experience in the force, during which he has worked on response and neighbourhood teams, in licensing and in operations planning.

He aid: “I’m really pleased to be returning to the Amber Valley area as section inspector, and hope to be able to build on the good work of Insp Smith .

“I also hope to further improve confidence in local policing, and to work with the community to address the concerns of local residents.”
