AN AUTUMN bazaar saw Jacksdale villagers pack a local community centre on Saturday.
The event organised by traditional craft making club, Nimble Fingers, saw a host of hand-made goods on sale from lovingly crafted Christmas cards to scrap books and quilts.
Villagers also enjoyed traditional craft making displays throughout the day.
Visitors watched some of the 30 members of the Nimble Fingers club as they showed crowds the arts of knitting, quilling and card making.
One of the event’s organisers, Jacky Starke, from Sedgwick Street in the village, said: “The event was fabulous, it was so busy I was exhausted afterwards, I was very surprised. One of the lady’s knitting stalls got so many orders, she will be busy now until Christmas!”
Jacky, who runs the Nimble Fingers workshops every three weeks at Jacksdale Community Centre is planning to host another fundraiser in spring. If you are interested in joining Nimble Fingers, contact Jacky on 01773 541377.
