A CRACKDOWN on Blue Badge cheats has been launched across Derbyshire.
The county council began the crackdown on Monday and people found using a badge when they should not be could be fined up to £1,000.
Blue Badges are issued to people with severe mobility problems.
There are currently 52,000 holders across the county and around 5,000 new applications are approved each year.
In January a three- month amnesty, urging people who had a badge they should not have, to hand it in.
Hot spots where misuse of badges will be targeted by parking enforcement officers.
