Convict caught taking drugs and phone into Derbyshire prison

A convict who was caught bringing drugs and a mobile phone into a Derbyshire prison has been jailed for a further year.

Prison guards found Mark Lenton in the grounds of HMP Sudbury at around 8pm on Monday, March 28.

They found him carrying a bag of food, a mobile phone and what they thought was cannabis bush and called police.

The 31-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of bringing an article into prison.

He admitted both charges and was sentenced at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday, April 27.
