Community shows off talent at festival

Visitors to this year’s Amberfest got more than they bargained for when they met the newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa out on a walkabout.

Hardyal was keen to meet residents and experience the community festival on May 20, which shows how local partners can work together to provide a range of different services and activities.

The event, held this year in Alfreton’s Indoor Market Hall, included Information on green spaces, activities and town trails was abundant, and a ‘Love Your Local Market’ display had a wide range of traditional stalls promoting good including Derbyshire Tartan.
