Registration for this year’s 30 Days Wild has officially opened, and we’d like to invite you to join us in doing something wild every day throughout June – and beyond.
Research has proven time and time again that interactions with nature can, and will, help people to feel happier, healthier, and more connected to the world around them.
We’re encouraging everyone, everywhere, to accept our challenge and undertake one random act of wild each day for those 30 days. Are you ready to embrace your wild side?
Engaging with nature shouldn’t be a chore, so a random act of wild is any opportunity however big or small, to experience the wildlife around you – anything goes, as long as you’re connecting with nature, or offering your wild neighbours a helping hand.
Perhaps you’ll build a bug hotel or hedgehog house – maybe you’ll finally sow those wildflower seeds you’ve had hanging around. You may even wish to take an hour out of your day to sit in the garden and listen to the birds. Any act, regardless of how random it seems, can help to increase your appreciation of nature.
If you’re sold on the idea of 30 Days Wild and would like to take part in this year’s challenge visit www.derbyshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/30DaysWild and click the ‘Get a pack’ link. You can sign up as an individual or family, school or class, or even as a workplace.
