Officers investigating a robbery in Ripley have released CCTV images of four people who are thought to have been in the area at the time of the offence.

Between 9.40 and 9.50pm on Sunday, August 24, a 17-year-old Swanwick youth was sitting with friends in the Lidl car park on Chapel Street. They were approached by a group of four youths who threatened them.

The 17-year-old’s friends left the area and two of the youths assaulted him and stole his tobacco. He was not seriously injured.

Investigating officers have checked local CCTV cameras and have found images of three youths who were in the area at around the time of the offence.

DC James Wall is trying to identify these people and is asking them or anyone who knows them to contact him on 101.
