A LOSCOE man has won one of only two national awards at a ceremony celebrating the work of road transport engineers.
Scott Newton, 38, beat other hopefuls to win the coveted irtec Award, which recognises the competence, skill and dedication of commercial vehicle technicians.
At the ceremony in Birmingham, patron John Ratcliff CBE said: “The 2012 irtec Awards highlight two exceptional technicians, who both have demonstrated their commitment to competence and excellence in road transport engineering. Road transport technicians are absolutely vital and their skills ensure the country keeps moving. I congratulate you on your outstanding achievement.”
