FIRMS are being invited to sign up to Derbyshire’s Trusted Trader scheme.
Run by Derbyshire trading standards, it aims to build confidence in local businesses by promoting high standards and excellent customer care.
When firms become a Derbyshire Trusted Trader, their name appears on our searchable list of member businesses.
People can get hold of your details by using the search facilities on this website, by telephoning Call Derbyshire or even by popping into their local library.
Derbyshire County Council is currently offering a year’s free membership of Trusted Trader, but firms need to be quick as the offer runs out on December 31.
Usually there’s a fee to join. Existing Trusted Traders will aos get an extra six months membership for free as part of the offer.
Anyone with a business base in Derbyshire or who does at least half of their work in the county can apply to join.
You could be a sole trader or a limited company, trader or retail business. The only exceptions are businesses solely trading with other businesses, because the scheme is designed to bring businesses and consumers together.
A spokesman for the schem said being a Derbyshire Trusted Trader tells customers that you run an honest, fair and reliable business.
You will be able to use membership of the scheme to promote your reputation as a business that cares about its customers and you will benefit from promotion through our publications, newspaper advertising, posters and leaflets in various community locations.
Firms which become trusted members are also entitled to use the scheme’s branding to promote your business.
