Splashes of colour are set to bloom along Ripley Greenway by spring - after more than 4,000 bulbs were planted there.

The Friends of Ripley Greenway volunteers and the 1st Ripley Scouts have been busy planting a mix of floral varieties in a bid to enhance the area over the past weeks. A spokesperson for town council said: “The Friends of the Ripley Greenway are working hard to keep this lovely green space a pleasure for all.”

David Clarke of WE Clarkes department store on Grosvenor Road has also given £250 towards the planting. Anyone wishing to join the Friends of Ripley Greenway should call Lesley Freeborn on 07817 617526.
