A beer festival has raised more than £400 for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).

Marlpool Brewing Company held the event, which included 10 real ales to sample, a hog roast and barbecue.

There was also a DJ and live music from Acoustic Union, who played for donations to the chosen charities.

Andy McAuley, from the Marlpool Brewing Company, presented Richard Fletcher, Derbyshire community representative for the DLRAA, with a cheque for £445 at the brewer’s Ale House on Breach Road, Marlpool.

Richard said: “I was
delighted to be presented with the cheque from Andy
McAuley and his daughter
Aoife from the Marlpool Brewing Company. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery
funding. Therefore, support from
people such as Andy McAuley is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our
lifesaving service flying.”

Two other charities
also benefited from the
charity festival.

Donations were raised for the Babbington Dog
Rescue Centre and Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, which offers holidays to disadvantaged youngsters.
