Fire crews from Alfreton and Crich were called to a building fire at 9.25am on Thursday in Codnor Park.
The fire was caused by a gas boiler in an outbuilding off Monument Lane. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.
The crew isolated the gas supply and left the scene at 9.40am. The police and the gas board were also in attendance.
A crew from Alfreton tackled a bus fire at 9.10am on the same day. The incident happened on The Croft, Leabrooks, where a fire started in the bus’s engine. Firefighters used a bucket of water to put out the flames.
