A GREEN-fingered primary school can get even closer to the nature after buying a batch of bird-spotting equipment for its wooded grounds.
Riddings Infant and Nursery School, with the help of a £1,000 grant from Burnaston based car manufacturer Toyota, invested in bird tables and webcams to support the children’s learning. Pupils at the West Street school can now watch a variety of birds feeding together from closer than ever before. Headteacher, Ann Politowski said, “The school is very grateful for the generous donations from Toyota. The children have really enjoyed watching the birds feeding on the webcam and are very excited at the moment about a family of blue tits that pay regular visits!”
