A NEW exhibition at Chatsworth House is hoping to be a roaring success.
The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire officially launched the Lionheart Project on Tuesday.
Artist Shauna Richardson has created three giant crocheted lions over a two year period.
She used 36 miles of wool from the Dales to create an interpretation of the three golden lions on Richard the Lionheart’s cost of arms.
The lions will be on public display in their 16 metre long illuminated glass case at Chatsworth in front of the Bastion Wall until June 10, following that they will go on a tour of the East Midlands before ending up at the Natural History Museum in London in time for the Olympic Games.
