Members of an Amber Valley club celebrated a special birthday in style this week.
Ann Stone, founder and oldest member of the Penguin Club, was treated to party celebrations at The Village Inn, Marehay.
The evening was sponsored by two of the club’s team leaders, Kevin and Angela Osbourne, and their daughter Bridie.
The party kicked off with the Stu-b-Lew Disco, then to everyone’s surprise the star guest appeared.
Elvis Presley (aka Alan Moore) took to the dance floor and began singing all the hits with everyone dancing along.
During the interval, Elvis mingled with the members. Some of them had their photograph taken with him.
Elvis then led in singing Happy Birthday to Ann and presented her with a present from the club.
The Penguin club is for people with learning disabilities in the Amber Valley area.
The club meets on Thursday evenings. For more information, call 07966739047.
