Amber Valley’s affordable housing figures

MORE than 100 new affordable homes were built in Amber Valley in the last year – with 38 in Swanwick, 19 in Somercotes, 18 in Kilburn and a further 26 throughout the borough.

The homes were funded with a Homes and Communities Agency Grant of £2,714,415, private sector funding, of £485,000 and a Local Government Grant of £250,000, said Amber Valley Housing.

Most of the new affordable homes are provided by housing associations for rent to applicants on the housing register.
