Win! Tickets to see Jake Bugg live in Sherwood Forest
Jake Bugg has announced a home county gig as part of Forest Live, the annual summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.
Bugg’s incredible ascent began in 2012 when his self-titled debut album entered the UK charts at number one (aged 18, making him the youngest British male artist ever to achieve this), going on to sell double platinum and shortlisted for the UK Mercury Music Prize. Success only accelerated Bugg’s creative momentum, releasing Shangri La a year later. That album returned Bugg to the top five, earning him his second BRIT nomination and a sold out UK arena tour. His eagerly-awaited third album is expected for release this year.
Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands.
Jake Bugg plus guests plays Sherwood Pines Forest, near Mansfield, on Thursday June 23. For tickets and further info call the box office tel 03000 680400 or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
