This picture appeared in former newspaper the Ilkeston Pioneer and was brought in by Graham Plunkett.
It shows the Stanley Miners’ Welfare side who played in the Ilkeston Youth League, and was taken in February 1962.
Graham knew some of the players who he said went on to play for much bigger clubs.
The report with the picture said they were the ‘top team’ in the Ilkeston are: “They have scored 160 goals in 15 matches and conceded just 11.”
On the back are Marshall, Daniels, Johnson, Moss, Roberts and Cross.
And on the front are Stanley, Hartshorn, Tudor, Dawes and Hall.
