Soft play centre in Langley Mill to close permanently due to the coronavirus pandemic
A soft play centre in Langley Mill has announced it will not be re-opening following the ‘continuing impact’ of the coronavirus lockdown.
Lanky Bill’s Fun Shack in Cromford Road Industrial Estate, Cromford Road, Langley Mill, shut its doors on March 18, but unfortunately as the Government has stated soft play centre’s are one of the industries which are still not safe to re-open the centre has made the difficult decision to close permanently.
A statement from Richard and Jill Kirk, who took over the centre in 2008, said: “It is with great sadness and regret that we have to announce the permanent closure of Lanky Bills Fun Shack due to Covid-19 and the continuing impact of forced closure.
“Lanky Bill’s has been a part of the community for more than 17 years with us, Richard and Jill, taking over in February 2008.
"The decision to permanently close has been the hardest one that we have made after all these years but we are no longer able to sustain the business.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful customers that have visited us and allowed us to help create so many happy memories over the years, we would also like to say a huge big thank you to our staff, some of whom have been there right from the start or with us from early 2008.
"We will certainly cherish all of the memories that we take away with us and remember all the fun times that we've had, we are going to miss you all dearly and wish you the very best for the future.”
