Two awareness days to mark World Autism Day

AUTISM charity NORSACA has organised two awareness raising events to mark this year’s World Autism Awareness Day.

On Friday, March 30, students and staff from Mundy Street Day Services, Heanor, will have a stall on the town’s market where they will be raising funds by selling donated goods and giving out information. On World Autism Awareness Day itself on Monday, April 2, the charity will be running an information stall at Asda in Langley Mill.

Heanor-based Tracey Mumford, manager of NORSACA’s Domiciliary Services said: “World Autism Awareness Day is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise awareness.”
