Tread the boards in theatre workshops

Musical theatre workshops are being held later this month in Derby for youngsters to get involved in.

This week-long series of workshops will transform children’s skills and experiences of musical theatre.

Enchanted Entertainment bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the realms of singing, dancing and acting as well as general stage craft.

Children will be given plenty of opportunities to exert all of the summer energy in the fun-filled week, learning songs and routines from a variety of well-known West End and Broadway musicals.

The summer school is about getting young people, aged 8 – 16, involved in performing, regardless of experience and ability.

Participants will join other like-minded youngsters who love to sing, dance and act and work together to produce two performances in the Summer Musical Theatre Showcase, delivered to friends and family in a live audience on Saturday, August 20.

The Summer Musical Theatre Workshop will take place at Derby LIVE’s Guildhall Theatre from Monday, August 15 – Friday, August 19, from 9am – 5pm.

The week long workshop and performance in the final show costs £140.

Workshop places can be purchased through the Derby LIVE box office on 01332 255800 or online at derbylive.co.uk.

They can also be purchased at the Derby LIVE Box Office, Assembly Rooms, Market Place, Derby, DE1 3AH.
