The Funhouse Comedy Club returns to The Diamond at Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Sunday October 5, for a night full of laughter.

Headlining is Ivan Brackenbury, a bungling hospital DJ.

The character was created by performer Tom Binns, who earlier in his career was a breakfast radio DJ on London’s XFM.

The hospital DJ (pictured right) combines inapt records, with hilarious cues, misjudged dedications and patient requests, to leave the audience in ‘fits’ of laughter.

A stay in hospital with him as the DJ would certainly be a unique experience.

Supporting is the spookily skilful spirit comedian, Ian D. Montfort, an amazing deadpan pseudo-psychic who contacts dead celebrities.

Having made a number of appearances on radio in February this year he had his own series, Ian D Montfort is Unbelievable on BBC Radio 2.

With his jokes and quick banter he engages the crowd before starting to communicate with the ‘other side’. His incredible results leave his audiences gasping with incredulity.

There is also a full supporting line-up from three other acts in the form of Big Lou with his true stories and funny facts, quickfire joke teller Fran Garrity and award winning comedy writer John Lebbon.

Compere for the night is the energetic and funny Spiky Mike.

Tickets are £5 in advance. Doors open at 7pm and the show gets under way at 7pm.
