Four more talented comedy performers will be treading the boards again, on Wednesday, October 16, when the Stagefright Comedy Club returns to The Fishpond in Matlock Bath.
On the bill for this eagerly-awaited show will be Charlie Chuck (above left), El Purnell (above right), Nick Parry and Anthony J Brown (above centre).
Charlie Chuck is a true one-off as a performer. He lives on a farm with One Eyed Dog, a Cakey Pig and a Donkey!
Charlie’s act and catchphrases are legendary after stints on Vic & Bob’s The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer as Uncle Peter, The James Whale Radio and TV Shows and most recently ITV’s Comedy Cuts.
A manic and sometimes bewildering stage presence make him one of the most remarkable performers on the planet, with an array of one liners, catchphrases and mannerisms that genuinely defy belief yet consistently tickle the funny bone.
A cult following that’s not confined to the UK means that Charlie always draws a crowd wherever he performs.
He has even performed at a birthday party as a special guest of none other than Sir Paul McCartney.
El Purnell is the self-proclaimed Numero Uno comic from Ecuador, who fuses observations of modern day life in a unique, highly-interactive and hilarious set.
Nick Parry was a Ribticklers Comedy Award Winner in his first ever gig and a Crooked Smile Award runner-up.
Nick is a new act with undeniable onstage poise and wonderfully dark material.
As a result, he is currently blazing a trail through the Northern comedy scene with his impeccable comedic timing. Also appearing at the Stagefright Comedy Club will be your regular master of ceremonies, the talented Anthony J Brown.
Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm show. Admission is £6 in advance or £8 on the door. Call 01629 581 529 for more details.
