Spotlight Comedy Club returns to Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel on Thursday, March 16, for a bill of laughter headed by Nathan Caton.

Former Chortle Student Comedian of the Year, Nathan (pictured) has been seen on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Soccer AM, Russell Howard’s Good News, Comedy Cuts and his own sketch show on Comedy Central (which earned him a Hotshot award from Broadcast magazine for his writing).

In addition, he is the star of his own Radio Four show Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing. He’s instantly amenable, charismatic and an incredibly slick performer with a natural stage presence.

Also on the bill is Scott Bennett, a likeable performer with a warm and engaging delivery.

He is a Yorkshire livewire with an undeniable no-nonsense logic.

In demand by many of the big clubs, Scott delivers wry observations on the absurdity of modern living. His sharply written routines have been delighting audiences across the country.

In 2013 and 2015 he was selected to perform in the prestigious Big Value showcase show for Just the Tonic at the Edinburgh fringe, the show has previously been a springboard to success for many household names including Jason Manford and Sarah Millican.

His debut hour stand up show About a Roy: Stories about me Dad was nominated for the highly acclaimed Amused Moose Comedy Award and was selected as one of the top ten shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.

Compere for the night will be your regular Spotlight host, Anthony J Brown.

Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Call the box office for ticket details on 01246 345222.
