DERBY Concert Orchestra will complete their 62nd season with a performance at St Mary’s Church in Wirksworth on Saturday, July 7.
Conductor Jonathan Trout will be leading the orchestra through an all-British programme of pieces, starting with Hamish MacCunn’s evocative concert opener The Land Of The Mountain And The Flood.
Rosie Bott will be the soloist in a performance of Gerald Finzi’s Clarinet Concerto and there will also be performances of Butterworth’s The Banks Of Green Willow, Judith Weir’s The Welcome Arrival Of Rain, plus Eric Coates’s London Suite, featuring his famous Knightsbridge March.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £12 (£10 concessions) and under 16s get in free with an adult.
