MARK Morriss, former frontman with popular Britpoppers The Bluetones, is forging a successful solo career for himself and makes his latest appearance in the area on Friday, January 13, when he appears at The Victoria Inn in Derby.
Morriss was singer/songwriter with the band from their formation in 1993 until the members decided to go their separate ways in October after recording 13 top 40 singles and three top ten albums in the UK alone. Now he is pushing on with solo career and will be performing at the Midland Place venue.
On Saturday, January 14, The Souvenirs are the guests and then, on Monday, January 16, there’s a triple bill featuring Blythe Curse, The No Tomorrows and Nekropolitik.
Finally, the entertainment on Tuesday, January 17, comes courtesy of an acoustic night.
