FOR over half a century now, Joan Baez has been a major musical force and you can this legendary performer in action when she comes to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday, March 20, from 7.30pm.
Her earliest recordings fed a host of traditional ballads into the rock vernacular before she unselfconsciously introduced Bob Dylan to the world in 1963 and focused awareness on songwriters ranging from Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs, to Steve Earle, Kris Kristoffersen and many more.
