The waiting is over for fans of local band Whitemoor as they release their new single All I’ve Ever Known on Sunday, March 24.
The five-piece outfit, some of whose members come from Belper and Ripley, have been hard at work over the winter on both the new single, and the forthcoming album Horizons, due to be released in May.
Benny (vocals), Barrington (guitars), Louise (keyboards), Tom (drums) and Luke (bass) have been recording at Belper-based SoundHub Studios and the single is released on SoundHub Records.
All I’ve Ever Known is the second single from Horizons and follows on from High Lights, released as a single at the start of November.
The band describe All I’ve Ever Known as “a clouded love song that captures the surging power of WhiteMoor’s post-apocalypse pop and merges it with the MCing marksmanship of Alex ‘Motormouf’ Young, on loan from the mighty Just James.
“All I’ve Ever Known is a fusion of raw energy and meticulous melody that sees the band exploring previously undiscovered country.”
The single and video will be released worldwide on March 24 and WhiteMoor are hoping it will be played on BBC radio on the day before, to whet the appetite of fans.
All I’ve Ever Known was co-produced and mixed by Dan ‘Kid Kombat’ Lowe and the video was made by ADLS Productions. Horizons will be the follow-up album to their self-titled debut, released at the start of 2011.
