Enjoy another Slice Of Life with Steve and co at Belper venue

One of the great survivors of the anarcho-punk scene, Steve Ignorant and his Slice Of Life return to The Queens Head in Belper on Saturday, March 25.

Whilst many bands of that era make comeback tours trading on past glories, the former frontman of Crass has followed a wholly different and original path.

Fronting two bands, Steve Ignorant is still more than capable of surprising an audience with the Slice of Life line-up allowing a more reflective and personal side to emerge.

The band incidentally includes one Carol Hodge, a notable performer in her own right who played The Queens Head as a solo act last October.

Now resident in the wilds of Norfolk, Steve has branched out into many new areas such as writing, wood sculpture and art.

Professor Ignorant,to give him his official title as a fully qualified Punch and Judy Man, also sees active service with the lifeboat crew of his adopted village. Refreshing indeed to find a major artist looking forward and not following the predictable nostalgia trip.

Support comes from performance poet Dwane Reads and the Bard of Belper, Chris Butler.

Some tickets are still available from the venue or contact mjones572@hotmail.co.uk.
