The Dalesmen Male Voice Choir, based in Belper and now in its 26th year, is currently undertaking a recruitment drive to ensure it maintains its membership of 65 choristers.
The choir performs around 20 concerts a year, including at some of the most prestigious venues in the country.
The Dalesmen have decided that the time to recruit is while their membership is at a good level.
A spokesman for the choir said: “Singing in a choir is an incredible experience and adrenaline highs from performing in concerts are wonderfully addictive.
“Males from teenagers onwards, who can sing in tune and have the enthusiasm to learn the words to songs, will love the experience of joining the Dalesmen.
“The ability to read music is not essential. This is said to be one of the friendliest male choirs in the area and camaraderie, support and care for fellow members extends well beyond singing together.”
