Hi-De-Hi star Jeffrey Holland performs his popular one-man show ....And This Is My Friend Mr Laurel at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre on Friday, October 9, from 7.30pm.
Co-written with Gail Luow, the show enjoyed a critically-acclaimed sell-out premiere at Edinburgh 2014 and is now in the middle of a major UK tour.
Set in the bedroom of a sick Oliver Hardy, the show takes place during Laurel’s visit to the dying man.
Recounting their past success as the comedy double act Laurel and Hardy, this is a humorous and touching look at one of the great cinematic partnerships of the last century.
Jeffrey Holland’s breakthrough role was as Spike Dixon, the camp comic at the Maplin’s Holiday Camp, in Hi-de-Hi! in which he appeared with Paul Shane and Su Pollard.
He was also a regular performer in Russ Abbot’s Madhouse.
Tickets are priced at £14, concessions available and can be purchased through thebox office on 01332 255800 or online at derbylive.co.uk
