Nottingham-based charity Music for Everyone is calling for young singers in school years 1–7 from all over the East Midlands to come together to form a massive choir.
Taking place at Nottingham Trent University, Clifton, on Saturday and Sunday (October 5-6), the singing workshop is open to all.
Conductor Helen Hayes said: “We are looking for young people aged 5 – 11 that love to sing. You don’t need to have any experience – singing in the shower is enough for us!”
The music chosen is going to be varied with a great range of songs, from pop to rap including popular songs What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction and We’re All In This together from High School Musical.
Conductor Jane McDouall added: “The workshop is going to be really good fun, no preparation is needed, children can just come along, have a great sing and enjoy themselves! Our events bring like-minded young people together from all over the East Midlands. We have children travelling from Derby, Leicester and Newark to take part and invite any young people interested to come along!”
