The Exile Music Fest 2013 is to take place this weekend, with a wide range of bands and acts lined up to appear.

The event used to be held in Belper as the Belper Music Festival.

The latest of these festivals will this year be held on Friday, July 5, Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7.

Its home for the past couple of years is the picturesque surroundings of Sabine Hay, off Oldfield Lane, near Darley Dale.

The goal of the organisers is to create a reasonably priced, small summer music festival that provides an overwhelmingly positive, comfortable and fun, family experience for both attendees and musicians in a beautiful countryside setting for around 500 people.

As ever, the organisers have lined up a tantalising selection of acts to tempt music fans from far and wide.

On Friday, July 5, there are performers on from 1pm until late. They are Blue Wallpaper, Eliza P, Tastebuds and The Legendary Steaming Izaaks.

Saturday, July 6 see 12 hours of music, from noon.

Afternoon performers are Beth McCarthy, Saw The Wolf, Elliot Morris and Thornton Clough.

Evening performers are Vanderverse Priority, Hallouminate, Apple Of My Eye and Loscoe State Opera.

On Sunday, July 7, the music runs from noon to 5pm. Phil Doleman and Ian Emmerson, The Scarthin Band, Red Ruff, Fake Thackray, Satteh, and Joky Jock are performing there.

The Exile Music Festival is now settled and returning for the second year to it’s new home deep in the Derbyshire countryside at Sabine Hay just outside Darley Dale for 2012, our eighth year of exciting and successful operation.

There is an attractive, tree-lined camping area at the site and a very well stocked real ale bar with a huge variety of teasingly tasty beers, a variety of stalls, various activities to engage and a selection of food and drink stalls and cafes on site.
