CLASSIC car enthusiasts have been invited to go along to Heage Windmill at the weekend.
The venue will be staging a vintage cars special on Sunday, July 9.
The mill has been chosen as a stage point for a rally of vintage cars, which starts from Rowlsey at 10.30am ,when many old cars will make a pitstop in Heage.
All the cars which will make the stop-off date from between 1919 and 1930, a period known in motoring as ‘The Vintage Era’.
The cars will be calling at the mill at intervals throughout the day and will be available for inspection by visitors to the mill. The mill will be open as usual to visitors on both Saturday and Sunday for guided tours.
The mill is open from 11am to 4pm very weekend, including bank holidays now until the end of October.
Admission prices for 2011, which have not changed since last year, are Adults £3.50 (Gold Card £2-75), concessions £3, child, aged five to 15 £1..50, with the under fives free. A family ticket is £7.50, which allows in two adults and up to three children, party groups cost £3 per person, with a minimum spend of £30. for school parties there is no charge for pre-booked admission to the mill.
